The Oyster Men is an award-winning* short documentary that follows a small group of Long Island Baymen making a living diving to handpick wild oysters in Long Island Sound. A rare and dangerous practice, these men can spend up to 12 hours a day out on the water to make ends meet, but a good season can reward them for their endeavors. *The Oyster Men received the Best Cinematography prize in the 2015 Real Food Media Contest (www.realfoodmedia.org), premiered at the 2014 New York Food Film Festival (www.foodfilmfestival.com), and showed at the Devour! Food Film Fest in Nova Scotia in 2015 (www.devourfest.com).
