EXPERIENCES
When likeminded people gather, ideas are shared and they grow. Myths are busted. GROWTH occurs. Our greatest joy is in bringing people together cuisine, hospitality & storytelling. It creates PRESENCE. And it is no coincidence that the word PRESENT is synonymous with GIFT. We consider the ways we bring people together to be the highest expression of our purpose & passion.
CULINARY SIMPLICITY & HOSPITALITY EXCELLENCE
If you can put something colorful, delicious and healthy in someones belly while you guide them to think, laugh, interact with others, be seen, heard & PRESENT, they’ll LOVE IT. Ergo, it becomes THEIR IDEA that Protecting the People, Place & Process the Product comes from is CRITICALLY IMPORTANT. Source the best product, care for it perfectly & do as little to it as possible. Then serve it in a way that delivers maximum DISCOVERY, NUTRITION & FUN. Always EDU-tain, never “lecture “. Always guide, never tell…when explaining an aquacultural techniqe or a wine pairing. Simply, be a gracious host.
STORYTELLING - GUIDE
Experiences & Hospitality allow us to tell stories about the people, places & processes that bring us this extraordinary food. We aim to use all platforms to be a rising tide and best celebrate the History, Culture, Cuisine, Economy & Ecology of Seafood.
“The Delta Between Eating & Dining is DISCOVERY!”
MESSAGE
Access to Seafood Saved Our Species 100-70,000 years ago along the coasts of the Indian Ocean in South Africa. If we can maintain this resource, likely, we’ll survive through another evolutionary bottleneck, just like we did then, when as few as 1200 individuals survived. This is why ALL human DNA is almost identical. Food is as precious a resource as air and water. We must treat it as such.
Seafood is a precious gift that is ever-increasingly hard to access and never getting any cheaper. It must be understood, cherished and stewarded to the greatest possible degree. If we do not BUILD VALUE in rare, expensive seafoods, and PROTECT HABITAT, cultures will disappear, economies will fail, cuisine will become less diverse and healthy. History will not look upon us kindly if we squander this glorious gift and all that it has made possible for humanity.
