Triangle Ranch. 1,100 acres of Old Florida wilderness with the Myakka River running though it. Pristine uplands habitat. 40 min East of Downtown Sarasota. The Myakka River is a wild river in central western Florida. Triangle Ranch is owned by Elizabeth Moore and she placed it in a conservation easement to protect it from development, forever. 3 miles of the Myakka run through it. This is a magical slice of Old Florida.
For our first ever Marsh Madness event we will be presented on the banks of this fresh water river that feeds a priceless littoral region. We will begin this annual tradition "upstream" of the marshes and estuaries of Fort Myers, Sarasota & Tampa.
In between course a special presentation will be made by Dave Tomasko, Ph. D, Executive Director of Sarasota Bay Estuary Project.
